Type locality: Patiko, Gulu District, Uganda
Diagnosis
Male is similar to C. corallinum and C. whellani by (a) being widespread; (b) part of the glabrum-group: Pt elongate, anterior border about as long as posterior, yellow, brown or grey, sometimes tinged red; (c) S10 without processes, sometimes border of apical excision evenly set with small denticles; (d) cerci at most slightly longer than paraprocts, with at most small tooth near apex. However, differs by (1) head and thorax blue rather than green; (2) penis with pointed apex (ventral view) and pointed finger-like lateral lobes (lateral view); (3) paraprocts without distinct heel. Habitat description
Standing and mostly temporary waters in open areas in forest. Usually with emergent vegetation, especially flooded grasses or sedges. From 0 to 1500 m above sea level, but mostly below 600.
