Type locality: Western Kenya, Uganda, no locality data available.

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. alluaudi by (a) occiput usually green; (b) thorax largely greenish or yellowish with some dark bands - collar, postdorsal stripe and dorsal spot of fragmented antehumeral stripe (almost) fused to form Z; (c) anterior hamule hook-shaped; (d) apices of cerci broad and square-cut, with several coarse teeth; (e) epiproct does not reach midpoint of cerci, with distinct median knobs. However, differs by (1) W Kenya and Uganda to E DRC; (2) face and thorax evenly green, at most with some incomplete vague dark markings; (3) Pt pale to dark brown. Habitat description

Streams in open areas in forest. Often with a sandy bottom and probably rocks. From 800 to 2300 m above sea level.
