Diagnosis

The only species currently recognised in this genus. Please refer to the genus introduction for more information.

Habitat description

Standing waters, but possibly also rivers, in open landscapes. Often with emergent vegetation, coarse detritus and a sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom. Recorded at around 200 m above sea level, but probably down to sea level.
