Type locality: Mamfe, Cameroon

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. sentipes by (a) anterior side of hind femur and trochanter bare, at most with some scattered short hairs; (b) Abd never pruinose. However, differs by (1) relatively larger size, Hw 24-27 mm; (2) pale band across frons often complete; (3) prothorax without spot above coxa; (4) spiracular dorsum (anterior to mesepisterna) with large central pale spot; (5) interpleural stripe often narrower than pale stripes bordering it; (6) anal loop open on wing border; (7) spines in outer anterior row of hind femur entirely in single file; (8) pale ring on S6 skewed dorso-apically. Habitat description

Mostly seeps and springs, but also standing waters, shaded by forest. Usually with coarse detritus. From 0 to 800 m above sea level, but mostly between 100 and 700.
