Crenigomphus abyssinicus (Selys, 1878)

Type locality: Ethiopia, no locality data available.
Diagnosis
Males differs from other Crenigomphus species with foliations on S8-9 by (1) being restricted to Ethiopia; (2) foliations S8-9 pale rather than being bordered with black; (3) dorsum S10 raised to hump at apex, rather than being flat; (4) branches of epiproct with broad and rounded rather than slender apices (dorsal view). Habitat description
Not known, but probably rivers or streams in open landscapes. Probably especially faster sections with bare banks, rocks and a gravelly and/or sandy bottom. Recorded at around 2000 m above sea level, but possibly up to 3000.
