Diagnosis

The only species currently recognised in this genus in Africa. Please refer to the genus diagnosis and introduction for more information.

Habitat description

Known only from a seasonal stream shaded by forest. Mostly with a soft (like muddy) bottom, usually coarse detritus, often bare banks and probably dead trunks or branches. Only recorded near sea level.
