Habitat description

Rivers in open areas in forest, but sometimes shaded by gallery forest. Often faster sections (rapids, falls) with emergent vegetation, submerged roots, rocks and/or probably overhanging branches. From 200 to 1600 m above sea level, but mostly below 700.
