Phyllomacromia pseudafricana (Pinhey, 1961)
Western Savanna Cruiser

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. africana by (a) smaller size, Hw 27-32 mm; (b) thorax with 3 pale stripes on each side; (c) dorsum of S10 flat, at most with rounded hump but without cones; (d) cerci yellow, may be darker at base, usually paler than epiproct. However, differs by (1) vertex and occipital triangle dark rather than partly pale; (2) hamule with sharply angled, rather than smooth curved border, narrowed abruptly before hook on long thin spike; (3) anal notch of Hw (between anal triangle and wing border) acute rather than obtuse; (4) pale markings on S3-6 only on basal half of segments (dorsal view); (5) apical border of S10 without denticles.
