Elattoneura tsiamae Aguesse, 1966
Rusty Threadtail

Type locality: Tsiama Forest, Congo

Male is similar to E. vrijdaghi by (a) head, thorax and sometimes Abd tip with reddish markings with maturity; (b) eyes red in life; (c) anal vein terminates level to distal border of quadrilateral; (d) legs dull yellow to reddish with dark blotches; (f) ventral process of cerci triangular, anterior border at acute angle to posterior border. However, differs by (1) antehumeral stripes narrower, rather than wider than dark area between them; (2) apical process of paraprocts pointed, rather than rounded. However, note that the holotype of E. vrijdaghi has paraprocts and antehumerals more like as illustrated for E. tsiamae by Dijkstra & Clausnitzer (2014) and thus further study of the complex is needed (Dijkstra et al. 2015).
